# Edexcel Maths A-Level Revision Classes

These courses cover the new Edexcel maths specification and are designed to prepare the students for the summer exams. Your experienced course tutor will teach a topic before going through past paper questions to consolidate learning and practice exam technique. This past paper practice will be used to give tips about how to get the most marks and the best approach to answering questions. Any weaknesses can be identified and worked on before moving on to the next topic. Our courses cover the whole specification which means they’re a great way to kick start revision or can be used to identify and fill in any gaps in knowledge. You should leave the course feeling confident and prepared for your exams.

## Structure of the Days

### Our Statistics and Mechanics courses are 1 day courses.

### They are from 9.00am to 5.30pm everyday.

### Registration is at 8.45am.

### There will be a one-hour lunch break and a couple of 10-min breaks in the morning and afternoon sessions.

## Tutor: Nela Brockington

Nela studied Medicine at Magdalen College, Oxford, and then completed a DPhil in Neuroscience. Following that she worked as a research scientist at Oxford, investigating various topics from skin sensation to visual perception, using maths every day to statistically analyse data and make mathematical models of brain function. In 2018 she qualified as a Mathematics Teacher and she enjoys teaching A Level Mathematics, especially linking Statistics and Mechanics to the sciences and real-world questions. She believes that understanding Applied Maths helps us to understand how knowledge is generated in the world, from medicine to economics to sports science.
