Biology A-level Easter Revision Classes

These courses are designed to prepare the students for the summer exams. Students will have the chance to revise key aspects of the entire Biology syllabus, practice exam questions and improve their exam technique in separate classes for each exam board, taught by experienced professional tutors.

Structure of the Days

Classes run over four days for A-level, two days for AS-level.

They are from 9.00am to 5.30pm everyday.

Registration is at 8.45am.

There will be a one-hour lunch break and a couple of 10-min breaks in the morning and afternoon sessions.

Food & Accommodation

Lunch is not provided but there are places to eat in and around the campus.
Accommodation is not included in the cost of the courses. Grange Strathmore Hotel is a short walk away from the campus, where you can get flexible rates at a discount if you use the code GC031669 when searching for a room.

Tutor: Natalie Lawrence

Natalie has a first-class MA in natural sciences (zoology) and MSc in history of science from the University of Cambridge (St John’s College). She stayed on to do a PhD on the history of natural history. She has loved tutoring biology students and school groups for the past 7 years, and really enjoys helping students develop their own personal fascinations for biology.

Tutor: Daisy Newberry

Daisy has a BSc from UCL in Immunology, Infectious Diseases and Cellular Pathology and is currently in her 5th year at UCL medical school. She is an experienced tutor, having taught Science and Maths to all age groups, with A level Biology being her specialist subject. Daisy particularly enjoys helping students develop their scientific reasoning and confidence in their abilities.

Tutor: Eleni Panousopoulou

Eleni has a BSc in Human Genetics from UCL, an MSc in Molecular Medicine in Imperial College, a PhD in cell and Developmental Biology from King’s College. After her studies she continued with research in Oxford University. Eleni has been tutoring A-level students over the duration of her studies since 2003. She has significant experience in mentoring students, including undergraduate medicine and dentistry students and is passionate about delivering scientific content in an easily
comprehensible way that students can relate to, as well as helping students develop their verbal skills for biology.
